Sharing a project
Sharing a link to your project
Sharing a project URL is especially useful for public projects: just click the share share icon, copy the Designer URL, and use it on your blog, Stack Overflow post, or anywhere else on the web.
Collaborating with others on a project
If you want to collaborate with others on a JitBlox project, they must be members of the project and have the desired level of access. You can make others a member of a project by inviting them through the Members panel.
You can invite anyone using their email address - this address does not have to belong to a JitBlox account*. Clicking the Add Member button will open the invitation popup, where you can set the member's access level and enter a personal invitation message.
The invitee will now receive a personal invitation link that allows them to accept or decline the invitation. Invitees are listed in the "Pending invitations" section where you can check the status of all invitations. From there, you can also resend the invitation in case the invitee missed it, or still cancel it.
* Invitees must log in or create an account before they can accept an invitation.
Sharing a preview
Each project preview has a unique URL that can be shared with others. As long as you or another team member has the designer active, this URL can be opened on any device with an Internet connection. If you want the preview to remain available even when the designer is not active, you should make the preview always available.
To share the preview of your app with, say, a client, there are two ways to do so:
- If your project is public, use the method described in sharing a link to your project, but copy the Preview URL instead.
- If your project is private, invite your client as a project member and set the desired access level to View. Your client can then access the project and thus the preview from their own JitBlox dashboard (but if you prefer, you can still share the link, of course).
On rare occasions, a preview may not function. For more information, please refer to preview troubleshooting.
Making a preview always available
With the Always-available preview feature, you can choose to keep the preview of your app online, making your prototype available to other project members or clients at their convenience.
Preserve your app preview using the project settings. Click the Make always available button, confirm your choice, and you're done. The preview updates automatically when you make new changes to the design.
Note that project settings can only be changed by users with project admin privileges.
